This workshop aims at sharing knowledge between the Brazil and UK on the topics of Green Technology and Product-Service Systems. The experiences of University of São Paulo (LGP and NUMA from Production Engineering Departments, São Paulo and São Carlos campuses) and Aston University Centre for Servitization Research and Practice will be presented to trigger the discussions. The main objectives of the workshop are:
- To share successful experiences of business engagement on green technologies & product-service systems (PSS);
- To share successful experiences of research excellence (e.g. funding, and publication) on green technologies & PSS;
- To share successful experiences of using research into teaching on green technologies & PSS;
- To create the Brazilian Centre for Servitization to support relevant and excellent research in both green technology management and PSS.
The project will focus to the key priority sectors that the Brazilian and UK economy have in common. These include: health-care, energy, transport, large EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) project in infrastructure and oil & GAS, and high-value manufacturing).
FAPESP and the British Council under the Newton Fund Researcher Links scheme will sponsor the workshop on the above theme in São Paulo, Brazil on 14-17 March 2016.
The workshop is being coordinated by Prof Dr Marly Monteiro de Carvalho from the Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo and Prof Dr Tim Baines from the Aston Business School. They have contributions from other leading researchers Prof Dr Henrique Rozenfeld, Dr Eduardo Zancul, Dr Breno Nunes, and Dr Andreas Schroeder.
